FURNITURE
Hues

Inspired by the overlay of colors in venn diagrams, this set of nesting tables is composed of waterjet-cut low iron glass tops that are sandblasted and coloured. Legs and support frame in painted steel.
Easy

A generously proportioned easy chair made of bent laminated plywood, with the front and rear leg structures stacked to form a stable brace support. Finished in maple wood veneer.
Raft sofa

A sofa suited for today’s nomadic lifestyle and shrinking apartment sizes. The gaps between the solid ash rods allow for the seat and backrest cushions to be strapped onto it. Its raft-inspired base frame can be disassembled completely for easy transportation through narrow stairways and doors. Modularity is possible with a longer base frame and more cushions.
V Shelves

A laminated plywood shelf that has a gentle ”v” at one end to enable the user to display an open book. The two wall-fixation components that resemble books in shape and size also act as bookends.
Mute

A chair in solid maple whose understated elegance is expressed though the seamless transitions between its curved seat, legs and backrest.
Arbor

Arbor, which stands for trees in Latin, is a compact work desk featuring five different solid woods. Ideal for small apartments and hotel rooms, the Arbor desk is suited for laptops and light paperwork.
It allows for storage through a front-opening drawer and four top-opening compartments on the table surface. The storage compartments are descending in size as one moves towards the right, allowing one to organize his/her workspace in a convenient manner. The legs of the desk can be dissembled and packed separately for convenient transportation.

Biscuit stool

Crafted in solid oak with a hint of farmhouse charm, Biscuit is a trusty companion for breakfast or afternoon tea in a sunlit kitchen. The gently curved edge of the seat is easy on the thighs and pleasant to touch. Robust legs in turned wood are strengthened with criss-crossed dowels, completing a stool which uses no screws in its construction. Inspired by traditional wooden stools observed at a fish market in Singapore, Biscuit is designed to be a durable and versatile dining stool suitable for both the home and contract market.
Black Forest

Inspired by tree branches, this table is made up of two interlocking Y-shaped oak junctions and an asymmetric top. It can be disassembled into three separate parts for flat shipping. We tried to achieve the visual analogy of a pool of water with the table surface, such that when objects are placed on the steel mirror table top, we see its reflection beneath.

Coat Shed

Inspired by the garden shed, this coat rack is designed to welcome people into the room or space it is placed in. It’s relaxed slanted position and illumination from its roof brings a welcoming presence, telling newcomers it is ready to take their coat.
Naked

Naked is an extremely lightweight chair that uses its structure as its aesthetic. The strength of this chair is due to action-reaction forces between the folded steel sheets and beech wood frame. It alsoflat packs in transportation and can be assembled without tools, resulting in a very low carbon foot-print.
Dunes

Dunes is a set of modular, stackable screens inspired by the undulating sand dunes of the desert. We used thick elastic chords to weave surfaces within an inverse-triangulated steel frame. The result is a screen with rich colour gradients that act as a low-opacity colour filter, defining a semi-private space. They can be combined to form a continuous linear partition or used separately as spatial markers.
Winter arrives

We remember the fascination with the layers of fresh snow on items left outdoors when we wake up on a winter’s morning. But papa said not to sit on them as it would get us wet and cold. Winter Arrives is a series of stools with generous cushions and contrasting slim legs that remind us of this phenomenon nature creates.
Story

The bird cage is an item that evokes childhood sentiments in us. We have had the experience of keeping a feathered friend in a bird-cage and poking our fingers through the grille to caress it. Story is a bird-cage inspired chair made of steel wires, which lets us store our precious belongings inside through an opening at the back.
